No matter the industry, our approach to branding is always the same.

You can’t realize the full value of selling a house without a roof—the same goes for promoting a business without a comprehensive brand. We take our clients through a comprehensive process with tried-and-true steps for maximum results.

  • We begin all working relationships with a kick-off brand audit consultation. During a 90-minute call, we take a deep dive into your brand to establish what’s working, what isn’t, and where you want to go. Think of this stage as creating a road map for your brand, from fine-tuning your ideal audience to defining your business name.

  • Once the brand audit is done, we put pen to paper and create a brand identity. Our approach to branding is much more than a logo: You’ll receive a visual system for your brand that include a primary logo, complementary lockups, color scheme, typography hierarchy, typesetting examples, and your choice between a custom pattern or iconography set. When complete, you’ll have a beautiful board and packaged files for anyone to use in the future and stay on brand.

  • We don't believe in headshots. Instead, we act as creative directors and oversee every detail of a lifestyle photo shoot, including scouting (and negotiating rates with) a photographer that aligns with your brand aesthetic. We handle all the shoot planning, including a mood board, shot list, location planning, and props recommendations—all you need to do is show up. Once the shoot is over, we’ll advise on selects and editing so you end up with a perfect set of photos for your website and social media.

  • Once you have a brand identity, we're here to help you bring it to life. Whether you’d like social media templates, business cards, PowerPoint designs, or coded email signatures, we’ll make sure that every public instance of your brand is beautiful and up to date.

  • Put your new photos and brand into action in an effective and thoughtful Squarespace 7.1 site. We’ll start off with a kickoff call, oversee all copywriting, and see through the entire site from start to finish. If you’re planning on blogging or email marketing, we’ll also set up the infrastructure for freebies and content. Once the site is approved, we wrap with a recorded training call so you have complete control of site edits in the future.

  • Grow followers, book speaking gigs, appear in the press, or acquire customers—we've done it all. Whether you’d like one-on-one strategy sessions or want to join our group client accountability program, we’re here to help you bring your brand into the public and achieve your goals.

Questions?

We’ve probably answered them before. If you haven't found what you're looking for here, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

  • Yes, we do, and we take great pride in providing extremely accurate estimates for clients to stay on budget. After working with hundreds of clients and timing every minute for each project, we know exactly what it takes to get an effective brand.

  • Yes. A mechanic can't fix a car without popping the hood, and a brand strategist can't advise without evaluating what's working (and what isn't). Our audit consultation is a critical spark to the branding process. It ensures we're clear on your goals, prioritizing the right strategy, and mapping out a plan of action for swift execution. You'll get a feel for our working dynamic (and vice versa) so we can collaborate at our very best once we start branding. The session will also give you a clear picture of your brand's positioning—from associated themes, elevator pitch, and recommended social media profiles—that will make you one step closer to the brand you want to become.

  • In our experience, the best social media accounts have a brand, even if it isn't overt. Social media can be a lot of work and we want to make sure that our clients have a purpose for posting in the first place. By starting off services with a brand audit, we'll be considering the overall message that your brand is portraying, which will help with your social media strategy. Following the brand audit, you'll receive a detailed recap that will clarify your brand, along with specific strategies to master social media that will engage your audience. If you’re not ready for a brand audit, you might like one of our courses.

  • We exclusively build our client sites on Squarespace. Yes, some people use Wordpress, Wix, or Weebly out of preference, but we exclusively use Squarespace because:

It's user-friendly. We never want our clients to be on the hook with us or a developer after the site is launched. With Squarespace, making changes in the future requires no code, so clients can make changes on their own. (We include a training call as part of the project that anyone on your team can attend.) It's very intuitive, which we find is helpful for clients in the long run.

It offers 24/7 customer service. As part of having a site on Squarespace, you get access to their 24/7 customer support, who are readily available to answer any questions you have via chat and email. If you want anything revised/reworked to your Squarespace site years into the future, Squarespace's team will be able to guide you with making the changes on your own with no charge, which is very cost efficient. And of course, some clients prefer for us to manage this for them, but it's always reassuring to know that Squarespace is there with 24/7 if the guidance is needed.

It values design. We have dabbled with Wordpress sites in the past, but we've found that Squarespace lends itself to absolutely beautiful, effective websites. All of their sites are automatically scaled for mobile, so there's no need for extra coding for responsive design. Unless you're wanting to use intricate plugins or a complex online store, there's nothing you can't do on Squarespace that can be done on Wordpress.

We often view websites as a conduit for getting new customers on the phone with you. We find that Squarespace's backend, customer service, and design help expedite this for the long run. And, if it helps, we've built more than 100 Squarespace sites over the years, and we can't think of any client who regrets switching from Wordpress to Squarespace.

  • In order to build a beautiful house, you need to have the right materials. A brand identity and photography are essential components to make a website essential. (Take a look at our Projects page if you don't believe us.) That being said, if you're confident that a brand isn't needed for your site, consider our a la carte brand audit service and we can provide an assessment and custom website quote.

  • We encourage it and offer a complimentary 15-minute discovery call for every prospective client. Schedule your call using this link. Talk soon!
